It’s time for the Titans to fully commit to making Marcus Mariota great, and drafting him a number one receiver has to be the move here.

Last season it was vitally important for Tennessee to bolster the offensive line protecting their top pick from 2015.

They did so, and he still got hurt.

He needs a better receiving corps to go with his improved line so he has someone to get the ball out to when needed.

Corey Davis isn’t the second receiver in this class, rather he’s 1a or 1b to Mike Williams depending on what you value more.

Davis doesn’t match Williams’ ball skills, but man does he know how to get open.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like the Western Michigan star doesn’t have elite ball skills, it’s just where his Clemson counterpart elevates a bit higher on tape.

I wouldn’t be completely surprised to see this franchise go wide receiver with both of their first-round picks, although it is highly unlikely.

Still, getting Davis here is the right move to make for their future and quarterback’s health.
