4. team. 28. . . . Oakland Raiders

The Oakland Raiders should have been one of the most feared teams in the playoffs. Due to an unfortunate injury Derek Carr missed the playoffs and they lost to the Texans in the first round. The Raiders have a top three offensive line in the NFL and a strong offense overall. They did lose Latavius Murray to the Vikings but they have Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington. They still have a lot of interest in Marshawn Lynch and if the Seahawks are willing to trade his rights he could make the Raiders not just contenders but potential favorites. They also added Jared Cook and Cordarrelle Patterson to give them four weapons on for Derek Carr.

On defense they didn’t add any one but they didn’t lose any one of significance. DJ Hayden signed with the Lions but he never lived up to his first round potential. Last year the Raiders spent big on the free agents. Sean Smith, Bruce Irvin, and Reggie Nelson proved to be great investments and are still around.  With Jack Del Rio still at the helm the Raiders are relevant yet again.
