With the twelfth overall selection in the 2017 NFL draft the Cleveland Browns select, Mitch Trubisky quarterback out of North Carolina. The first quarterback off the board is none other than Ohio native Mitch Trubisky. For the first time in a long time, the Cleveland Browns organization has a quarterback who actually wants to play for them.

After having two picks in the first round, the Browns take a gamble here on a big armed young gunslinger with tremendous upside. In no way do I expect Trubisky to come in and start the first game for the Browns this season, but he is a quarterback Hue Jackson can groom into a true talent.

It is no secret come draft day that the Browns will be looking to once again add a quarterback name to the carousel, but it finally ends here. Adding Trubisky gives the Browns hope. Whether you want to accept it or not, Jackson is a fantastic head coach and the Browns are a team on the rise. However, in the NFL you are nothing without a quarterback. Trubisky gives the “Dawg Pound” a guy they can finally pin their hopes on.
