2017 NFL Mock Draft: Buccaneers Take Help Over the Top
With the sixteenth overall selection in the 2017 NFL draft the Baltimore Ravens select, Taco Charlton defensive end out of Michigan. After having a good amount of wiggle room in the draft, the Ravens are able to nail down a top pass rushing prospect and fill a need due to the lack of talent at the defensive end position.
The monstrous 6’6” Charlton is an immediate impact player the Ravens can stick into their defensive line. With Charlton comes much room to grow. If you watch his tape at Michigan you see a player who is just scratching the surface of his potential. John Harbaugh is just the type of coach to bring in a player such as this and get absolutely every drop of talent he can out of him.
Charlton’s slow rise on the draft boards may be due to his high ceiling, but his pure athleticism is not something to be mistaken by. Charlton is big, strong, lean player who will bring a force back to what really is a Ravens’ defense. Plus, who would not like a player named Taco? If someone named Nacho comes out in the 2018 class, they would just be a perfect fit.
