Look, none of us really knows if the Redskins want to commit to Kirk Cousins as their franchise quarterback or if they’re basically just marking time until the next franchise guy comes along.

Either way, no quarterback is going to stay healthy behind a porous offensive line. Even Cam Newton, who moves around with the best of them, can’t stand up to a pounding. Being great up front is essential.

Washington has already invested in the offense this off-season despite the fact they lost both Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson.

Adding Terrelle Pryor will look like a really smart move if last year’s top pick Josh Doctson can come back healthy and Jamison Crowder can keep up his impressive 2016 performance.

Running back is definitely a potential target here as well, but putting more talent up front will make the position look better as is. It’s not going to be the sexiest pick in the draft, and some may even have a different tackle higher on their own board than Robinson.

Bottom line though, the team needs help up front, and Robinson brings plenty of it. He can be the cornerstone of the line, no matter who the quarterback is.
