With the eighteenth overall selection in the 2017 NFL draft the Tennessee Titans select, John Ross wide receiver out of Washington. The Titans get their man, a talented young speedy receiver who will fit perfectly into Mike Mularkey’s offense.
The notorious Ross has been a prospect who has received many up and down reviews cemented himself as first round prospect due to his incredible combine performance. After breaking Chris Johnson’s long lasting 40 yard dash time, Ross literally and figuratively burst onto all 32 team’s draft boards. He isn’t only fast, however, as he can play the position as well.
The selection of Ross gives the Titans a true weapon both on offense and also special teams. Tennessee is a young team, and supplying Marcus Mariota with as many weapons as they can is something this team will do. A strong offensive line, running back stable, and quarterback only leaves one last offensive question mark. Who will be catching these passes? With the selection of Ross, they believe that he will do the trick.
Could Ross be the final weapon that helps Mariota take his game to the next level? The Titans are a talented bunch. He certainly won’t hurt.
