With the twenty-eighth pick in the 2017 NFL draft the Dallas Cowboys select, Jabrill Peppers safety out of Michigan. Just how Jerry Jones can Jerry Jones get? If there are any players in this year’s draft class that look like Cowboys, it would be Jabrill Peppers or Adoree Jackson. Fortunately enough for Peppers, he does not make it out of the first round as Jerry swoops in for the talented multi-purpose defensive prospect.

After losing two essential safeties in the free agency period this offseason, it is no surprise that Jerry turns to target that position. Peppers gives the Cowboys a player who can rotate down from safety to a linebacker, essentially playing two roles for the Cowboys scarce defense. That offense  is explosive. With a good defense, that team will be absolutely scary.

Besides Sean Lee, the Dallas Cowboys have been hurting for defensive talent for quite some time. Although a pass rusher may be a wise choice, in a deep defensive class for both positions, they choose to go safety due to Pepper’s swiss army knife appeal.

Admit it, Peppers would make a great Cowboy. He also will be a great addition.
