With the sixth overall selection in the 2017 NFL draft the New York Jets select OJ Howard, tight end out of Alabama. BOOO! Well luckily for the Jets the draft is in Philly, or fans would be going wild for this pick.

Why would the Jets take a tight end? A tight end! Well where do we start? Minus the fact that this team has ultimately turned into a dumpster fire, they take the best player available. OJ Howard is not only the best tight end prospect coming out this draft class, but he is also the best pass catcher.

Howard has been on the rise since the combine’s incredible numbers, and here he slips into being one of the highest selected tight ends in history. The Jets decide to pass up on more defensive talent so that they are able to help whoever is under center this season, win a few games.

This may be a shock pick for some, but don’t be surprised if Howard is even taken a couple picks earlier. OJ Howard is the real deal folks.
