Talking Buccaneers: 2017 NFL Draft Recap with Walking the Plank
The NFL Draft is complete and the Buccaneers have introduced five new players to the fold ahead of the 2017.
In case you missed it, or just need a recap, here’s how the Buccaneers’ picks unfolded:

2nd Round (50th Overall): S, Justin Evans, Texas A&M
3rd Round (84th Overall): WR, Chris Godwin, Penn State
3rd Round (107th Overall): LB, Kendell Beckwith, LSU
5th Round (162nd Overall): RB, Jeremy McNichols, Boise State
7th Round (223rd Overall): DT, Stevie Tu’ikolovatu, USC
In this bonus episode of the Walking the Plank podcast we discussed the class and chimed in with our thoughts about the players added, and players not added.
After a crazy first day saw the Buccaneers add perhaps their tight end of the near future, there were a mix of expected moves and surprises.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the three-day event came when the Bucs traded back into the end of the third round to draft Louisiana State University’s Kendell Beckwith – causing James to go crazy on this episode.
Many, including myself, thought this trade would be to grab USF’s Marlon Mack.
Here, we discuss our reactions to the move and what it means for the team as well as Beckwith’s potential legacy with the fan base.
Finally, as always, we want to encourage all readers of The Pewter Plank and listeners of the Walking the Plank podcast to send us those tweets, Facebook comments, and emails to walkingtheplankpodcast@gmail.com.
Your interaction is always welcome, and we look forward to hearing from you. Until next time, Go Bucs!
