Week 12: at Atlanta Falcons, 1:00 PM

Following the bye week, the Bucs will travel to new Mercedes-Benz stadium to face the Atlanta Falcons. The Bucs split with the Falcons last year, most recently losing on TNF. Atlanta went 11-5 last year and would go on to win the division and conference. The Falcons looked to have won the Super Bowl, but to the delight of Bucs fans everywhere they did not end up winning. For anyone who forgot, they dropped a 28-3 lead in losing to the New England Patriots.

The Falcons and the Bucs always have closely contested games, but the Bucs have gotten the better of them recently. Tampa Bay is 3-1 against the Falcons over the past two years. The Bucs will look to continue their recent dominance over Atlanta, but in this game, I believe they will fall just short.

With all of the weapons on the Bucs side, one could say that the Bucs and Falcons are built similarly, especially on offense. They both have quarterbacks with strong arms, and both teams have plenty of weapons on the outside. The Falcons, at least for now, have the edge in the ground game, and that will prove to be too much. Atlanta will want to defend their home field against the Bucs and will squeak out a victory.

Prediction: Falcons win 28-24, Bucs fall to 7-4
