Week 1 @ Miami Dolphins

Nothing is better than the first Sunday of the NFL season, when people all across America dedicate one day out of the week to sit on a couch all day to root for their favorite team and fantasy players. This has got to be a game to look forward to regardless of the opponent. The Bucs happen to kick off the year against another team from Florida, the 10-6 in 2016 Miami Dolphins. This is a matchup between two teams who are clearly on the rise and expect to be fighting for a playoff spot in their respective conferences in 2017.

In order to make the playoffs in the National Football League, you need to win games like this against tough foes who have around the same talent level. Dolphins head coach Adam Gase is an offensive mastermind who had the offense and more so the running game rolling at times last year. Ryan Tannehill was enjoying a strong campaign before going down with an injury to end the year, causing the offense to be out of sorts heading into the playoffs. Being surrounded by weapons like Jay Ajayi, Jarvis Landy, and DeVante Parker, this is a solid offense making it interesting to see what Bucs defense shows up.

The Bucs defense was terrible to start the year before defensive coordinator Mike Smith got them into the shape. The new and improved defense was one of the main reasons for the playoff push the team made to end the year. Also, seeing new faces like Jackson, Howard, Baker, Chris Goodwin, J.J Wilcox, and Justin Evans on the football field is going to be quite exciting to watch. Let’s hope for a season opening win for the Bucs.
