5. Offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith

Not an outside addition added here, but with Coach Koetter’s decision to move Ali Marpet to center this off-season and the re-signing of Joe Hawley this off season there basically is no room for Smith. Although Smith was brought to the team prior to the 2014 season as the starting center he has slowly been losing starts to Hawley. Last season only starting two games one at center for an injured Hawley and one at left guard for Kevin Pamphile, and playing in only 174 snaps the entire season mainly at guard and center. Even though the offensive line isn’t a super strength of the team, the Bucs may feel that there is no need to keep three centers on the team. With Smith being 30 years old and costing $4.5-million this season –  predominately as a back-up center – he seems primed to be a camp – and cap – casualty.

Those are my mostly likely Buccaneers to be released during the cut down period (which is now just one cut from 90 to 53) with some surprises and some obvious ones. What do you think will these players be released or are there other starters that you think will be released? Do you see a main starter being released that might be a surprise? Give me your feedback in the comment section or contact me directly and let me know what you think. To all the #stickcarriers out there:
