#1 QB Jameis Winston

Here is the most obvious guy to look forward to seeing since he is already the heart and soul of this Tampa Bay team only in his third season. In year one and two, Winston showed why he was picked ahead of Marcus Mariota with the number one pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. He threw for over 4.000 yards and 20 touchdowns both years, becoming the first player to start off his career with consecutive 4.000 yard seasons.

On the other hand, he did turn the ball over an awful lot while struggling to accurately throw the ball down the field. All the new toys surrounding him, especially DeSean Jackson, should help him immensely in those specific areas. Not having to stare down Mike Evans as his only reliable option now will decrease his turnovers because he won’t be forcing the ball in tight spots as much. Winston needs to learn that if a play isn’t there to not force it but instead just hit your check down receiver or throw the ball away.

What stands out the most about Winston is how he already has control of the entire locker room as a 23 year old kid. He’s the leader of this team and simply just wants to win. The expectation is for this Buccaneers team to make the leap into the playoffs this year and it all falls on Winston to make it happen. All the talent is there for him to succeed and make that jump into the upper echelon of quarterbacks, making this by far the player with the most pressure on his shoulders. He’s either going to get praised or ridiculed depending on his performance.
