5. Wide Receiver / Returner Karl “The Truth” Williams (1996 – 2003)

Signed by the Buccaneers in 1996 from division II Texas A&M Kingsville also the Alma mater of NFL Hall of Famer and fellow UDFA John Randle.

He made an immediate impact in the return game becoming the Buccaneers first true kick and punt returner on his way to becoming the Buccaneers all-time leading punt returner in yards (2279) and touchdowns (5) and helping them to a Super Bowl title.

Playing in 115 games during his career mainly as a punt returner but did also return some kicks with 55 returns 1227 yard, but of course no touchdowns that didn’t happen until December 2007.
Due to his return skills on the field he got more playing time at wide receiver amassing 137 receptions 1700 yards and seven touchdowns during his career.

After being cut loose by the Buccaneers at the end of the 2003 season he played his last season in 2004 with the Arizona Cardinals before hanging up his NFL cleats, and that’s “The Truth”.
