Jameis Winston

Here is a man who needs no introduction but he is going to get one anyway. Simply put, Jameis Winston is the face of the Bucs franchise. As a number one overall selection, he was brought in to set the course for the offense and he has done just that. Under Dirk Koetter’s tutelage, they have done explosive things and are set to do more in 2017. No matter who the weapons are, Winston is right at the forefront.

He has had the tendency to make bad decisions, and that must improve. 28 touchdowns was a nice total last year, but 18 interceptions was not. That has to come down, making this a huge third season for the young quarterback. Winston must show that he has the ability to give a play up and live to see the next one. Whether that is throwing the ball away, taking safety valve pass for a couple of yards  or running for a few and sliding, he has to do it consistently.

However, it’s Winston’s ability to lead that brings him into my foxhole. This Bucs team believes, and they believe in Jameis Winston. It’s not just on the field either. We have all learned quickly about his ability to make speeches to fire up his teammates. He just knows how inspire. Any guy who can give a speech like this…

is worthy of sharing a foxhole with me. This was just one time, he has given many others. Who wouldn’t walk through a wall for this guy?
