In less than two weeks, the Buccaneers will report to One Buc Place for training camp. Here, we look at five storylines to follow throughout.

The Buccaneers had a busy offseason. As exciting as all of their moves were in the spring, the summer months have been a drag. Finally, it’s about time for the team to get back on the field. Sure, it’s just training camp, but it represents a whole lot more. For fans, it’s just good for some type of football to be back in our lives. But for the 32 teams in the league, camp represents a fresh start. And for Tampa Bay, this fresh start is the most exciting one in years.

After going 9-7 and making some positive strides as a team in 2016, the Bucs are a hot pick to make the playoffs in 2017. There is definitely a big buzz of optimism among Tampa Bay fans right now, which is refreshing after years of incompetence and disappointment. There is real cause for excitement about this year’s offense, and with the retention of defensive coordinator Mike Smith, the defensive unit should be solid.

After a big offseason, there are quite a few interesting storylines worth keeping an eye on this August. Here, we look at the five biggest to follow throughout camp.
