2017 Buccaneers Fantasy Forecast: TE, Cameron Brate
Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate launched himself onto the national fantasy football stage with a league leading eight touchdowns last year. What can he do in 2017?
Entering his fourth-season with the Buccaneers and in the NFL, Brate is going to try and build upon many things.
First and foremost is his rapport with franchise quarterback Jameis Winston, whose fantasy football value we evaluated previously.
Secondly, and in direct correlation with the first, is his statistical output.
In 2016, the Harvard product ranked 12th in catches and yards while tying for the top spot in touchdown catches.
These totals resulted in his finishing as the seventh overall tight end in all of fantasy football scoring.
Not a bad finish of course, but fans of this Bucs player would prefer a Top-5 finish.
So, in order to do so, Brate needs to climb into the Top-10 for receptions and yards while staying near the top of the league in scores.
Accomplishing this would put him in Rob Gronkowski, Greg Olsen and Travis Kelce range, if not in the conversation all together.
So let’s evaluate some key factors to his 2017 success and see how he projects as one of the Buccaneers’ top fantasy football names around.
