Touchdowns in the Redzone

The Bucs again had a very difficult time punching it in when in the red zone, scoring touchdowns only once on three red zone attempts.

Instead they settled for two field goals of 29 and 35 yards with almost a disastrous pass attempt interception from Jameis Winston throwing the ball up for grabs when being sacked, that drew the glare and yells of Coach Koetter.

Winston said it himself in his post-game presser:

"“We got finish man, touchdown, touchdowns in the red zone.”"

Last season the Bucs only scored a touchdown in the red zone on 51.9% of their red zone attempts ranking them 21st in the NFL, and so far in two preseason games they have two touchdowns in five red zone attempts or 40% red zone scoring. That is simply not good enough. Leaving those points on the board can make the difference between being in the playoffs and watching them at home.

With a tougher schedule this season, playing against six playoff teams from last season and both Super Bowl participants, the Bucs need to fix this issue and figure out a way to get touchdowns while in the red zone because field goals against these playoff teams are not going to cut it.
