Jameis Winston and the Buccaneers offense are clicking already through two preseason games. With the season around the corner, there is serious promise in Tampa Bay.

It’s only preseason. We remind ourselves of this with final scores, botched plays, and miscues. However, for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, there are some great things to talk about in relation to preseason games. Most notably, the offensive prowess.

Jameis Winston has had no problems finding his receivers, converting on third downs, or moving the ball at will through two games. Yes, they sputtered in the red zone both games, but that is a problem that can be cleaned up with little to no problem.

One of the biggest knocks on Jameis has been the deep ball accuracy. That’s one of the biggest reasons Jason Licht went out and signed DeSean Jackson – the player no quarterback can overthrow. Although chemistry takes some time to develop, it appears as though Winston and DJax are beginning to hit their stride at the perfect time – right before games truly count.

Double covered yet Winston still places the ball where DeSean can get it and it’s an easy six points. Dirk Koetter is obviously excited about the duo moving forward;

"“The beautiful one to DeSean Jackson – I think Jameis threw it as far as he could and DeSean went and got it. Jameis overthrew that other one over here on the left side to Adam Humphries a little bit, but overall you can’t argue with how Jameis has done. He threw a beautiful deep one to Mike Evans in the game the other night, so I think Jameis improved across the board.”"

Koetter points out the the seep pass still needs some work to players not wearing number eleven, but the possibilities Jackson opens up within the rest of the offense is something Buccaneers fans have been talking about – and excited about – since the minute the signing was announced.

We’ll see plenty of offense this coming Saturday as the starters are expected to play well into the third quarter when the Bucs host the Browns at Raymond James Stadium.
