Although the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are starting their season off with a bye, we know how their season will end – along with the rest of the NFC South.

It’s kickoff weekend! The NFL is back! Well, that is, unless you’re a Buccaneers or Dolphins fan. However, those fans have for more on their plate than whether or not their team is playing week one or not.

For a division that has represented the NFC in each of the last two Super Bowls, there’s a certain mystique that surrounds it. It’s almost as if every seasons truly could be anyone’s year. For a while it seemed as if whoever finished last one season would go on to win the division the following season. For the Buccaneers, a division title has been claimed since 2007.

The Panthers were the top dog for what seemed like forever, winning three consecutive division titles before being knocked off by the Atlanta Falcons last season. Now, the Falcons are the defending NFC champions and trying to recover from the biggest meltdown in Super Bowl history.

So where do these teams stack up this season? All of which appear to have improved in one way or another and this division may be more competitive than we’ve ever seen.
