DT- Chris Baker

The choice between putting defensive tackle Chris Baker or defensive tackle Gerald McCoy was quite difficult, but this one goes to Baker.

Baker makes this list because of the fact he is a newcomer to the Bucs defense. Here is another player who was left to walk by his former team in hopes of finding a younger replacement. “Swaggys” dual threat ability on the defensive line is what peaked the interest of Licht, and the hope is that having two talented defensive tackles on the line at all times will create mismatches.

Who are you going to double? Baker… McCoy… Gholston… Ayers?

The next question is, will Baker live up to the amount of cash he was signed for? During the 2017 free agency frenzy it seemed the Bucs were either going to sign Baker out of Washington or the mammoth defensive end Calais Campbell out of Arizona.

Tampa chose the cheaper of the two, but was it worth it?

This past weekend Campbell, who now plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars, had four sacks in his first game of 2017.

How do the two compare after their first games?
