QB- Jameis Winston

The franchise himself, Jameis Winston, should be an obvious lock to make this list every week… but this week in-particular.

Why? Did the Bucs win last week? Yes. How did Jameis perform? Good enough to win.

18-34 with 204 yards and a quarterback rating of 63.4. Are those numbers good? No. Are they all on Winston? No.

If you were satisfied with last week’s offensive performance, you were blinded by the glory of an opening home win. Yes a win may be a win, but this offense has much to improve on.

Whether it was deep balls that newcomer DeSean Jackson just missed or bad timing with pass-catchers in general, Winston just did not look in the rhythm he needed to be with anyone not named Mike Evans.

Yes there are a multitude of excuses that can be used to why this would happen including lack of practice due to Hurricane Irma, but the fact of the matter is that improvement needs to be shown this week against the Vikings.

If the Bucs are going to have any shot in sniffing the play-offs once again like many NFL experts predict, that falls on the shoulders of the franchise quarterback.

Can Winston this week show improvement up against a strong defensive unit?
