NFC North

This division kicks off our fantasy football schedule, so why not let it start the entire stinking post?

Green Bay is hosting Chicago on Thursday Night while the Lions and Vikings fill one of the 1PM EST slots in Minnesota. Will we get a Case Keenum repeat?

SIT: Quarterback, Case Keenum – Minnesota Vikings

There may be some folks out there looking to ride the wave Keenum created in Week 3. Facing the Detroit Lions defense which is currently allowing well under 15-points per game to opposing quarterbacks though; it just doesn’t bode well for a repeat performance.

START: Running Back, Tarik Cohen – Chicago Bears

Cohen has gotten more carries as the season has progressed, topping out at 12 for 78-yards in Week 3 against Pittsburgh.

He’s also stayed relevant in the passing attack, becoming a strong target for quarterback Mike Glennon.

Green Bay is surrendering the 8th most fantasy football points to running backs this year, and Cohen has a chance to have his Kareem Hunt moment in primetime this week.

SLEEPER: Green Bay Packers Defense

It’s the first time Glennon will lead his Bears onto the primetime stage. If the Packers can contain Chicago’s running backs enough to force them into passing more than they want, then it could be a multi-interception game for them. Of course, there’s always pick-six potential when you have a new starting quarterback on a team playing a big-time rival on primetime for the first time.

AFC NORTH

In the other north, fantasy football fans have match-ups like Pittsburgh visiting Baltimore and the Bengals entering the Dawg Pound.

Both games go on in the 1PM EST slate of games, and both have some interesting comparatives.

SIT: Running Back, Javorius Allen – Baltimore Ravens

Allen was once thought to be the top back in Baltimore. He started the season with 21 carries for 71-yards. Then lost seven of them on his way to 66. Then lost six more gaining just 15-yards in the London debacle against the suddenly powerful Jaguars.

It may not all be on Allen, but the Ravens’ running back situation is getting as fluid as the Patriots’. Don’t start him until the team actually settles on a main guy.

START: Quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers

I mean, if Blake Bortles can throw four touchdowns and 244-yards on the Ravens defense, then imagine what Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, Le’Veon Bell, Jesse James, and Martavis Bryant can do.

Ok, so fantasy football isn’t that simple. But seriously, if Blake Bortles can throw for…….

SLEEPER: Running Back, Duke Johnson – Cleveland Browns

Johnson might become more receiver than running back, but at least for now, he’s listed in the backfield. The Browns are getting closer to a win, and they’ve done so by getting Johnson more and more involved in the offense.

This should be the goal again this week.
