Defensive Tackle Damon “Snacks” Harrison

The Buccaneers offensive line will have its hands full this week against the Giants. While they aren’t the most ferocious line in the NFL they need to protect Jameis Winston. Jason Pierre Paul isn’t the same but along with Olivier Vernon, they will still bring the heat. The player they really need to focus on is Damon Harrison. Harrison is a run stuffing extraordinaire who wreaks havoc in backfields. The Buccaneers really need to watch him because if they want to control the game they need to run the ball. Last week against the Vikings the Buccaneers ran the ball nine times, seven times with running backs. They were down for most of the game so they had to abandon the run but they need to control the clock to win the game.

Jacquizz Rodgers is not Doug Martin but he is serviceable and capable of making plays when needed. I’m expecting a bigger game from him with more carries from Peyton Barber this week as well. Ali Marpet, Kevin Pamphile, and JR Sweezy will have to double up to try and open holes from the ground game. They will have to study a ton of film to try and stop the 350-pound monster known as Snacks.
