Safety Landon Collins

One of the best safeties in the league will be on coach Dirk Koetter and Mike Smith‘s radar this week. Landon Collins is only in his third season but he is ranked one of the top players at his position. He is a ball hawk and big hitter who can stop the run and defend the pass like the best of the best. He’s a tackling machine and will definitely have his eyes on Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson. One advantage the Buccaneers do have is they have two high-quality pass-catching tight ends. Cameron Brate is Jameis Winston’s favorite red zone target and OJ Howard is bursting with potential. Janoris Jenkins is a solid corner but Mike Evans is an elite wide receiver. Look for Collins to lean his way when he plays deep coverage.

The Buccaneers have a chance to make a statement this week against what seemed to be a formidable opponent. On a short week, they would like an adrenaline rush off a win over one Super Bowl winning then getting their chance at another. Don’t think this is a trap game but also don’t come out like they did against the Vikings.
