The Bucs through two weeks have looked dominant and reminiscent of the Lovie Smith teams.

I think the real Bucs are the ones we saw in week 2. Week 3 was a result of injuries and playing a good team.

The Bucs were beaten up going into the match-up against the Vikings, you expected a drop off but not as bad as we saw.

What we learned most is that there may not be as much depth on the defensive line as we anticipated.

The young secondary also was not ready. Hargreaves isn’t ready to be the CB1 yet and Smith received his first career start so we could not have expected much.

I know they did not play well but some of that can be contributed to the scheme. Not to mention the lack of pass rush that allowed the receivers all day to get open.

Week 2 the Bucs were healthy and dominant and I’d like to believe that is the real Bucs team. When the defense is healthy they create pressure and turnovers.

Of course there are no excuses for the offense, Jameis has to trust the guys around him and not do too much. That is easier said than done, but I believe this game was needed for Jameis to realize that his carelessness has and will cost the team games.

However, the bulk of the week 3 loss would have to be on the defense for me.

Relax Bucs fans, if the Bucs get Grimes, Kwon and Baker back we will see the week 2 Bucs again this Sunday against the Giants.
