Defensive End- Jacquies Smith

After almost a year off from football, defensive end Jacquies Smith made his return to the game last Sunday against the Giants.

In his return to the field, Smith played limited snaps which is more than likely due to conditioning of the body. It is not uncommon for a team to take the rehabilitation of players slowly so they can reach their full potential once again.

Now in his second game back this Thursday, Smith should see his playing time rise in the defense that is struggling to reach the passer.

Where is the edge pressure?

This defense has lied almost entirely on Gerald McCoy to disrupt the quarterback. Noah SpenceChris BakerRobert AyersRyan Russell… these four players have not even sniffed at the quarterback over the past two weeks.

Can Jacquies Smith bring to the Bucs what they need so bad? I think the Bucs could use another seven sack season out of Smith
