NFC WEST

San Francisco is in Indianapolis to face the Colts and Arizona is in Philly for the early afternoon schedule.

Seattle and Los Angeles face-off at 4:05 EST in L.A.

SIT: Quarterback, Russell Wilson – Seattle Seahawks

After two less than stellar weeks to start the year, Wilson has had two solid ones following them.

Now, he has a Week 5 match-up against the Rams defense who is middle of the road against fantasy football quarterbacks, but better than either of the teams he found success against.

START: Los Angeles Rams Defense

If I’m right about Wilson against this Rams defense, then the start here will be the same unit frustrating Seattle’s offense on Sunday.

If I’m wrong, then I’ll lose big here. Such is life.

SLEEPER: Quarterback, Brian Hoyer – San Francisco 49ers

The same Colts which gave Russell Wilson a Top-5 finish in Week 4, now face Brian Hoyer in Week 5.

Let’s keep this train rolling with another quarterback exploiting a sub-standard Indianapolis defense.

AFC WEST

Denver isn’t playing, so we can all lose their defense, C.J. Anderson, and two receivers in our fantasy football pools. Great.

Derek Carr is injured as the Raiders host the Ravens in what was widely considered an easy win until last week. The Chargers are visiting the Giants in New York, and the Chiefs are in Houston for Sunday Night Football.

SIT: Quarterback, EJ Manuel – Oakland Raiders

I was shocked to hear Manuel was the Radiers’ second quarterback above Connor Cook, but it’s a thing. The Ravens are not doing well right now, but their defense hasn’t given up a whole lot to opposing quarterbacks so far. Expect more Jalen Richard and other Radiers running backs, not Manuel.

START: Running Back, Kareem Hunt – Kansas City Chiefs

I know he’s facing the Texans’ defense, but this rookie has four 100-yard rushing games, and only one with 20 or more carries.

Even if he doesn’t explode, he’s going to get you enough points where you won’t lose because of him.

SLEEPER: Running Back, Jalen Richard – Oakland Raiders

We know the Raiders are going to use their running back more now that Derek Carr is injured. We just don’t know for sure which one it’ll be. My money, is on Jalen Richard.

He’s more dynamic than Marshawn Lynch, and is averaging 6.1 yards per carry to this point despite the fact he’s never gotten enough work to really get in a groove during a game.

I believe Lynch’s touches will go up, but so will Richards.

This wraps up our Week 5 fantasy football sits, starts, and sleepers for every NFL division.

Who are the players you’re looking at for big games this week? Which surprises from Week 4 do you think will hit or miss again in Week 5?
