If the season were to end today, the Buccaneers would…yeah, I’m not doing that.

We’re less than half-way to the playoffs, and teams like the Buccaneers have a long ways to go still.

The Kansas City Chiefs are still undefeated at the time this goes live, with a match-up tonight against the Chicago Bears. It’ll be their fifth game of the season.

Tampa Bay however, has just completed their fourth week of action, due to the Week One bye week they inherited thanks to hurricane Irma.

Standing currently at 2-2 on the year is one loss more than I projected them to have at this point, but in my defense, they should be 3-1 which is exactly what I said they’d be.

No use crying over missed kicks anymore though, as Jason Licht is hard at work replacing Nick Folk. Or not. We’ll all have to see what happens.

So, on to the next game, and more importantly for this posting; the next four games.

Barring another natural disaster derailing the gametime of one of these contests, the Bucs face Arizona and Buffalo on the road in the next two weeks.

After that, it’s back home at Ray Jay for their first divisional game of the year as Carolina comes in to town. Finally, to kick off November’s slate of games for the Buccaneers, they head to New Orleans.

Three of the next four are on the road, so it isn’t going to be easy. Let’s see just how the team should fare as they come upon the halfway mark of the 2017 season.

Oh, and if you had the Bills leading the AFC East at this point, then kudos to you!
