Tight End – OJ Howard

Last time tight end OJ Howard played in Glendale, Arizona his Alabama Crimson Tide team went on to win a national championship over the Clemson Tigers. During that game, Howard was the leading receiver for the tide with five catches for 208 yards. (Nice tidbit Greg Auman)

Now on a different team, Howard hopes to recreate when he had during that national title game… just this time for the Bucs.

Howard, who has seen a fair share of snaps throughout the first four games, will need to prove himself against a successful secondary. Most of Howard’s snaps as receiver should be against Tyran Mathieu on the other side of the line of scrimmage. One of the league’s best, if not thee best safety covering a rookie tight-end.

Over-matched and over-powered, Howard should be able to take advantage of this match-up as long as quarterback Jameis Winston gets him the ball.

Watch for “juice” to prove why he was worthy of being drafted 19th overall in this year’s draft class. Howard is going to be something special.
