NFC WEST

The Cardinals get a much needed bye to figure out what they’re doing at quarterback. The Los Angeles Rams are also off. Meanwhile, San Francisco travels to Philadelphia, Seattle is hosting Houston. Slim fantasy football pickings here.

SIT: Quarterback, C.J. Beathard – San Francisco 49ers

The rookie hasn’t played terribly since taking over for Brian Hoyer, but he hasn’t had a breakout game yet either. Don’t expect it this weekend. The Eagles are going to force the 49ers into passing more than they want, and they’re going to get at least two interceptions from it.

START: Wide Receiver, Pierre Garcon – San Francisco 49ers

Luckily for wide receivers, their quarterbacks can have a bad day, while they have a good one. Of course, we’re talking strictly fantasy football here. The bonus for Garcon owners is when the Eagles put the 49ers into full-on pass mode, this guy is getting a lot of targets. Huge if you’re in PPR.

SLEEPER: Seattle Seahawks Defense

This a daily target here. This defense is going to cost plenty, but against the Houston Texans, they may be able to make Deshaun Watson look like a rookie for once.

AFC WEST

We have every fantasy football asset to choose from here. The Chargers are in New England, Oakland is in Buffalo, and Denver travels to Kansas City for Monday night.

SIT: Oakland Raiders Defense

The Buffalo Bills have some dangerous weapons in their backfield, and they’ve found one in their receiving group with Deonte Thompson. If the often targeted Zay Jones gets free, look out.

START: Kansas City Chiefs Defense

This unit gave up a lot to the Raiders last week, but this is a quarterback and receivers who are clicking. Denver doesn’t have that right now, and the Chiefs are going to look to drive the point home.

SLEEPER: Wide Receiver, Michael Crabtree – Oakland Raiders

Derek Carr takes what the defense gives him. If the Bills give him Crabtree because they over cover Amari Cooper, Carr will take him. Fantasy football players with Crabtree will take the points.
