NFC WEST

SIT: Quarterback, C.J. Beathard – San Francisco 49ers

If the 49ers had even a shred of evidence Beathard had some future potential, they wouldn’t have made the trade they did. The pressure is on, kind of. Really, this is the kid’s last chance to show something, and he’s going to try really hard. Honey Badger don’t care it’s his last shot.

START: Seattle Seahawks Defense

The Redskins offense looks like it’s taking a step backwards every time it steps on the field. They need to let Kirk Cousins go somewhere he has a shot, because this isn’t it.

SLEEPER: Arizona Cardinals Defense

A team playing behind a quarterback they don’t believe in is a dangerous thing. Dangerously bad, usually. This may be a week Arizona’s defense really has an opportunity to show something.

AFC WEST

SIT: Denver Broncos Defense

Never would have thought last year that this year I would make this call. Sit the Denver Broncos defense because Carson Wentz is going to light them up. What!?

START: Quarterback, Derek Carr – Oakland Raiders

The Dolphins were sellers at the trade deadline, and it’s hard to convince players to give their all when three of the team’s best players are gone, were going, or are leaving in the off-season. Derek Carr and the Raiders have plenty to play for though.

SLEEPER: Oakland Raiders Defense

Oakland’s defense hasn’t been good, but does Miami have an offense left? I feel really bad for Jarvis Landry right now.
