Not a particularly good week for the Buccaneer’s special teams. Penalties played a big role in their unsatisfied outing against Carolina.

Brian Anger continues to be one of the NFL’s most consistent punters.
Chris Godwin nearly had a punt inside the one but couldn’t get out of the endzone fast enough.

During one of Bernard Reedy‘s punt returns, a penalty nullified what would be a great run and would allow the offense to have good field position.

I’m going to mention discipline one more time in refernce to penalties.

The only points on the board were thanks to kicker Pat Murray who has been a very big upgrade to the Buccaneer’s special teams.

Grade: B

With all the hype that lead up to this season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers seemed to have let it get to their heads in a way that has them fighting for air as the weeks go by.

This team needs to play physical and disciplined football for the rest of the season if they want to have a chance at turning this season around.

It starts with the leader of the team, Jameis Winston, all the way down to the long snapper.

The Bucs aren’t out of it yet.
