Wide Receiver Ted Ginn Jr

After bouncing around the league to start his career Ted Ginn always seemed to end up playing against the Buccaneers. In his eleventh season, he has now played against the Buccaneers eight times. With the Panthers for three seasons scoring three touchdowns and averaging over 60 total yards per game. This season with the Saints he’s averaging 17 yards per catch and has two touchdowns. He started off slowly but has turned it up recently. In the last three games, he has had over 60 yards in each with 141 yards against the Packers.

Drew Brees lost Brandin Cooks this offseason but the emergence of Michael Thomas has given the Saints a solid number one receiver. They were missing the speed guy though which brought them to sign Ted Ginn. When Drew Brees is given a plethora of weapons, the Buccaneers know first hand, he can score points at will. With the ground game coming on strong the Buccaneers can’t stack the box because of the weapons on the outside. The Bucs will likely be without Brent Grimes again so Vernon Hargreaves, Ryan Smith, Robert McClain, and Javien Elliot will have their hands full this week. Ted Ginn has been a thorn in the side of Bucs fans and has another shot to do the same this weekend.
