Six Super Bowl Contenders

1.) Philadelphia Eagles – This team looks like the real deal. I keep waiting for them to stumble since, you know, they’re the Eagles. It’s just not happening.

  • 2.) New England Patriots – They’re still the best team in the AFC. I say it week in and week out and nothing has changed. Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, track record of success. You wanna be the best? Knock them out in the postseason.

3.) New Orleans Saints – It’s not entirely fair to have them jump the Vikings given the Vikes were off this week, but this team is firing on all cylinders. The offense is efficient, the defense is light years ahead of where most believed it would be. Gonna continue to make noise in the race for the postseason.

4.) Pittsburgh Steelers – Another team that didn’t even play, yet they moved up in the standings. Outside of New England, no one in the AFC is setting themselves apart from the rest. Kansas City has cooled immensely and the Steelers are always in contention.

5.) Minnesota Vikings – Defense is elite and the potential return of Teddy Bridgewater should have Vikings fans excited for the present and the future. Man, imagine how that offense is going to look next season if Teddy returns to the way he played before the injury…

30.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – I wouldn’t even be confident facing San Francisco or Cleveland right now to be honest. This team shows no heart, no passion, no will. Just a massive disappointment from the word go. Once they lose the heart, it’s almost impossible to get it back.

It was a bit of an abbreviated edition of Pick Six but between not feeling well and the Buccaneers’ overall status, I found it impossible to find anything positive to say about them. Too much of this can really beat someone down. This was supposed to be a fun season. This was supposed to be an exciting season. Instead, it’s more of the same ol’ same ol’. Hey – at least they’re consistent at something, even if that something is sucking the life out of their fans.
