Following the Buccaneers most recent loss, this time to the New Orleans Saints, defensive tackle Chris Baker sent out the following Tweet:

The debate about what fans – even Buccaneers fans – do and don’t deserve is as old as sports it seems, but in this case a player flat out acknowledged some sort of perceived entitlement to the fans of this NFL franchise.

While we’ll leave the conversation of what fans are really entitled to for another day, I posed the question to our writers this week:

“Do you, as a fan, accept Chris Baker’s apology? If not, what will take?”

Every writer here at the Pewter Plank was a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers first. Sometimes our writing responsibilities take us away from the fan side of things, but this week we’re getting back to our roots.

Of course, we are but a handful of fans and don’t represent the totality of Bucs Nation, but I thought it’d be interesting to see each person’s thoughts on this.

We also want to know yours, so once you’re done checking out our writer’s thoughts, hit Twitter, Facebook or email and let us know your own.

Do you accept Chris Baker’s apology? If not, what will it take to make amends?
