Buccaneers: Five players to watch when Tampa Bay hosts Jets Week 10
By Sean Eck
Brent Grimes
Last season Grimes led not just the buccaneer’s defense, but the entire NFL with 24 passes defended while adding 57 tackles, one forced fumble and tying for the team lead with four interceptions (one returned for a touchdown).
This season Grimes s grading out as the #77 cornerback in the league. He is still the Buccaneers best cornerback and will see plenty of playing time in Sunday’s game, but he does not appear to be the same as last season.
Grimes has only played in five games this season for the Buccaneers but does have an interception, and five passed defended. While not performing as well as last season he will be welcomed back on the field this week by both players and fans as the Buccaneers attempt to stop their downward spiral and find the success they had at the end of the year last season.
