I put the odds of a five game Buccaneer winning streak at around 40%. They’ll first need to find a way to win a second straight game with Winston on the bench, this week against the Dolphins. If they can do that and Winston’s recovery stays on schedule, they’ll still face steep odds of pulling off a streak with games against Detroit, Green Bay, and Atlanta twice. Sweeping the Falcons is the most unlikely part of the scenario; despite offensive struggles this season, Matt Ryan the dirty birds still pose a serious mismatch for an uneven Buccaneer defense. I have a very hard time seeing the Buccaneers pull that off. The Detroit Lions will be an extremely tough task as well, behind quarterback Matt Stafford and a strong defense.

Must Read: Jets, Dolphins, and Jameis

They should be able to compete with the Packers given their struggles without Aaron Rodgers, but as visitors in Green Bay it can’t be penciled in as a win. There is some hope, though, otherwise I’d have given them a zero percent chance.

The Bucs have been trying some new things on defense to maximize their talent and produce pass rush, and it worked well against the Jets last week. If they can sustain that defensive success and get Jameis Winston and the offense on track, then maybe they can make some magic happen.
