Lavonte David

Since coming back from injury this season has been a force to be reckoned with.  He currently has the team lead with 51 tackles.  That’s impressive as David has only played in seven of the Bucs games this season.  Last week he had eight tackles including two for loss and a fumble recovery. David now has four fumble recoveries this season, tied for the most in a single season in team history. He needs one more to set a new single-season franchise record for fumble recoveries and two more to tie Ronde Barber for the franchise record of twelve over a career.

The Dolphins will try to get their running game going early, and David should be all over the young ball carriers.  He has shown to be one f the top linebackers in the NFL today and could have a field day if the Buccaneers get a lead and can force the Dolphins to play from behind.

David is one of only four players last week to play on 100% of the defensive snaps.  For a linebacker to be a real three-down player, he has to be solid all around, and David has proved over his tenure with the Buccaneers he is that and more.
