Buccaneers: 5 Bucs to watch in Miami Week 11
By Sean Eck
Brent Grimes
Brent is one of the players that were on the field for 100% of the Buccaneers snaps last week vs. the Jets. Grimes picked up his second interception of the season, and the sixth pass defended. While it has been a tumultuous season for the Bucs #1 corner, he could be out for blood as he returns to Miami for the first time since dawning a Buccaneers uniform.
Grimes now has 32 career interceptions, which is tied for fifth among active players. His 19 interceptions since 2013 are tied for the second- most in the NFL. Cutler is known to be interception prone, and Grimes could be the one to take advantage.
While Grimes tenure short lived, he was named to three-straight Pro Bowls under Anarumo’s guidance. While in Mike Smith‘s system last year he continued that trend and is looking to get back on track to being considered one of the leagues top cover corners.
