As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head to Miami to take on the Dolphins in what was supposed to be a week one match-up, the spotlight falls on the man who is making a return to stadium he made Pro Bowls in – before unceremoniously leaving.

Well, how about that! We finally made it to week one of the NFL season! As the Buccaneers and Dolphins prepare to clash, things are very different than we expected when this game was originally supposed to take place. The Buccaneers are a shell of what they were expected to be, Jameis Winston is out for who knows how long, and the defense – despite improved play last week against the Jets – is nowhere close to what they were thought to be after dominating the second half of last season.

Now, the Bucs essentially have to rattle off seven wins over the next eight weeks just to have an outside chance of sneaking into the postseason. In other words, the season is toast.

All that said, it doesn’t change the fact that we are going to be seeing a match-up that many have been looking forward to – including a particular podcaster and reality television star has had circled on her calendar for two years. Brent Grimes returns to Miami since they kicked him out the door, leading him to the Bucs.

Grimes has had a rough season thus far, dealing with a nagging shoulder injury. When he’s played, he’s been as good as expected and a bright spot on a poor defense. Now he gets the chance to stick it to his former team who not only gave him the boot, but didn’t exactly treat his wife the best either.

I fully expect at least one interception by Grimes in this one and I’ll set the passes defensed at three. Look for Jay Cutler to stay away from throwing his direction and try to expose Ryan Smith more. Smith has been playing pretty well, so it’s not like Smokin’ Jay Cutty is going to light it up on Smith’s side either.

Grimes is going to be extra pumped for this one – as will his no-holds-barred, extremely vocal wife Miko – as they will do anything they can to stick it to the Phins one more time before Grimes (likely) retires after the season.
