Wide Receiver Mohamed Sanu

Julio Jones has been a formidable wide receiver for his entire career. He has the size, speed, and hands unlike most of the receivers in the NFL. One thing he doesn’t have is more touchdowns than Mohamed Sanu since he joined the team last season. This may be because he is always either double teamed or against the opposing team’s top cornerback but he does not have as many touchdowns as the former Cincinnati Bengal, Sanu. He is a real big red zone threat, the best since they had Tony Gonzalez. The Buccaneers will have their handsful against the 6’2″ receiver out of Rutgers. In his two games against the Buccaneers as a Falcon, he has ten catches for 154 yards one touchdown and a two-point conversion. The Falcons receivers have a clear height advantage over the Bucs shorter corners. The Bucs may be in deeper trouble with Vernon Hargreaves and Josh Robinson on the injury report, Hargreaves already missing last week. Ryan Smith is still a young corner in this league and may have to cover Sanu all day on Sunday. The safeties better step up if the corners get beat over the top, which they have been. Mohamed Sanu is a name to watch for when the Falcons get in the red zone this weekend.
