Gerald McCoy

In the past five season, McCoy has been to the pro bowl.  This season might be his best statistical season ever.  For the season McCoy is sixth in quarterback hits, first in tackles for loss, and sixth in sacks for defensive tackles.

Since 2013 McCoy has the most sacks by any defensive tackle and is fourth in tackles for loss. For his career, McCoy has 47.5 sacks, the second-most by a defensive tackle in team history and the fourth-most in franchise history.

McCoy has been everything the Buccaneers could expect in a franchise defensive tackle and this week he gets the opportunity to add to his impressive resume.  A banged-up Matthew Stafford who has very little run support behind him seems primed for a few big hits from the best defensive tackle in the league.

On the season the Lions have given up 39 sacks which put them tied for third worst in the league this year.  An opportunistic Buccaneers defense led by our all-pro defensive tackle could spell disaster for the Lions offense.
