Quarterback

Ben Roethlisberger $6,700

Roethlisberger has thrown for a remarkable 1,446 yards in his last four games. He also has fourteen passing scores against just three interceptions during that span.  This week he gets to play a home game against a Patriots team that gave up three touchdowns and was unable to pick off Jay Cutler.  while last week Big Ben threw for 506 yards on a Baltimore defense that is vastly superior over the Patriots.  This made Roethlisberger the first quarterback in NFL history to record three 500-passing yard games in a career.

Three of the last four games the Steelers have had Roethlisberger has scored 30 or more fantasy points, and there are no indications that he will slow down this week.  Having one of the most dynamic receiving threats in the NFL today in Antonio Brown (more on him later) is a tremendous asset, and Ben knows how to use him.

This week against the 29th ranked defense against opposing quarterbacks and having his full complement of offensive weapons back he should more than outpace the 253.9 yards-per-game average that the Patriots are giving up.  Look for 350+ yards and three scores this week as the Home field cooking is on in Pittsburgh.

Blake Bortles $5,700

Bortles gets the matchup of the week going against the Houston Texans who are allowing the third-most fantasy points per game and third-most passing scores to opposing quarterbacks. Bortles has thrown multiple touchdowns in back-to-back games for the first time all season and should do so again here.

While not a top-tier option the matchup alone makes Bortles a great play here and a great value with his current price. While not having the best two receivers on the roster at the beginning of the season the resurgence of the running game in Jacksonville has opened up the passing game for the game managing Bortles. Over the last two weeks, he has completed 44 of 62 passes (71.0 comp. pct.) for 577 yards (288.5 passing yards per game), four TDs, zero INTs and a combined passer rating of 121.5, while being sacked just once.

This week Bortles will continue his success against one of the worst pass defenses in the league.  With the Jaguares defense hitting on all cylinders lately once they pull ahead early the running game might take over, but watch for Bortles t have at least 300-yard game and three scores.
