Wide Receiver

Antonio Brown $9,100

Brown is the second most expensive option this week on Draft Kings behind teammate LeVeon Bell.  There is nothing wrong with that though as Brown over the past four weeks is averaging 40.1 points-per-game!  That’s 627 yards on 39 catches with six touchdowns over only the past four weeks.

With a single catch this game he will reach 100 receptions in 2017, and will become the first player in NFL history to record 100 or more receptions in five consecutive years. With 114 yards this week he will become only the sixth player ever to reach the 10,000-yard career yardage marker in their first eight years.  Holt, Johnson, Rice, Moss, Harrison are the other five names on the list he will be joining this week.

The Patriots on the year have been ranked 30th worst at giving up opposing points to wide receivers.  In a game that has all the makings of a shoot-out against two of the best teams in the NFL.  Watch for Brown to have another monster day with 150+ yards and a pair of scores.

Marquise Goodwin $6,000

Since Jimmy Garoppolo‘s insertion as the starting quarterback, Goodwin has caught fourteen passes for 205 yards. This week the 49ers get a home game against the Titans who are giving up 233.3 yards-per-game through the air and are ranked 21st in the league at giving up points to opposing wide receivers.

In his career, he has recorded seven touchdown catches, six of which have gone for 40-or-more yards. This is by far the best season of Goodwin’s young career, and he is finally showing the potential that landed him a spot on the Bills a few years ago.  Many people forget that he was an Olympian just five years ago and holds the fifth fastest 40-yard dash ever recorded at the NFL combine.

Finally putting all the pieces together with a reliable quarterback connection the sky is the limit for Goodwin.  This week he should continue his recently found success and register 100+ yards and his first multi-touchdown game of this year.

Jordy Nelson $6,300

Nelson has had a very forgettable season with Brett Hundley as the Packers quarterback.  With Aaron Rodgers back under center, it was a different story to the beginning of the year.  He had recorded six touchdowns in the first four games before the injury to Rodgers.  That translated to three games of over twenty fantasy points.

The Panthers are ranked 27th worst at giving up points to opposing quarterbacks on the season.  This has an excellent story for the comeback and for the Packers to hold onto their playoff hopes.

If Rodgers does not play, then I do not trust Nelson for fantasy purposes, but all signs point to him being under center come Sunday.  With that watch for Nelson to be targeted as he has always been with Rodgers in the game.  This week he will break out for over 100 yards and a pair of scores.
