Running back Devonta Freeman

One of Jameis Winston‘s buddies from Florida State will be the lead guy in the backfield on Monday Night. Tevin Coleman will be held out on Monday with a concussion giving the bulk of the carries to Freeman. Devonta Freeman helped Winston in his redshirt season to their National Championship. Winston tried to get him to join Tampa but he signed a five-year extension with the Falcons this off-season.

Freeman has missed a few games this season but is still putting up good numbers. With 680 yards on 152 attempts, he is averaging 4.5 yards per carry good for 11th in the league. While Tevin Coleman is known more as a third down back, Freeman can still catch the ball too. Freeman has twenty catches for 144 yards giving them a nice dump off option. The Falcons have an arsenal of weapons that the Bucs might not be able to handle.

With the Buccaneers playing for draft position this game might disappoint many fans. The primetime Bucs will be on display and won’t do much to help grow the fan base. The spotlight will be on Gruden for the Bucs but the end zone might be favorable for these guys.
