Buccaneers: Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) Weekly – NFL Week 16
By Sean Eck
Kareem Hunt $8,400
The Chiefs finally realized that getting Hunt the ball leads to success. Over the last two weeks, he has 49 carries for 271 yard and a pair of scores on the ground to go along with ten catches for 73 yards and a score in the air. This week he gets a great matchup in as the Chiefs are hosting the Dolphins.
On the season the Dolphins are 26th in the league at allowing points to opposing running backs. With Hunt averaging 20.3 points per game after having three games of under 10 points is something out of this world. Having 1201 yards on the ground and nine touchdowns is an impressive feat for any back let alone a rookie he should be looking to improve on these numbers this week.
Watch for Hunt to run all over the Dolphins defense for his third game of over 150 yards and his second game with multiple touchdowns on the ground.
Ezekiel Elliot $8,000
Elliot returns with a vengeance after his six-game suspension and will be chomping at the bit to get back to his dominance. In every game, this season aside from a single contest he has reached at least 20 carries on the ground.
The Cowboys are still in the playoff hunt and as long as there is a postseason berth riding on the outcome of their contests look for Elliot to play a significant factor in those games. With two games remaining Elliot is on his way to another 1000 yard season and should be in double-digit scores on the ground.
Last week the Seahawks gave up 180 scrimmage yards and four touchdowns to Todd Gurley. Elliot should continue this trend as the Seahawks are middle of the road defensively this year. Watch for Elliot to go for 150 yards and three total scores.
Dion Lewis $6,000
Lewis is part of the Patriots backfield, and you never know who is going to get the opportunities, but with Rex Burkhead being listed as doubtful and a nonparticipant at practice Wednesday all signs point to Lewis being the big beneficiary.
On the season he has only had a single 100-yard performance, but that’s not for his lack of being productive when given a chance. He is averaging 5.2 yards per carry on the season and has five touchdowns on the year.
This week the Patriots get to play at home against the BIll who is ranked 32nd in the league at giving up fantasy points to opposing running backs. Look for Lewis to hit 100 yards for the second time this year and have his first multi-touchdown game of the year.
