Defensive End Cameron Jordan

The Saints defensive end, Cameron Jordan, is having his best season this year. He has been a crucial part of the Saints defensive rebuild this season. With 12 sacks this season he is half a sack behind his career high. He will be very motivated this week because he has escalators in his contract that could make him wealthier. With one more sack, he reaches thirteen giving him a $250,000 or if he gets three sacks on Sunday he will get an additional $500,000. It’s not likely but if he gets five sacks he’ll reach a $750,000 bonus. I don’t know about you but an extra potential $1.5 million is plenty of incentive to go all out.

In thirteen games against the Buccaneers, he has 45 tackles and 8.5 sacks. For comparison, Cameron Jordan’s career season average is 50 tackles and 8.5 sacks. Jordan gets more games against the NFC South than any other team but he’s easily put up his best career numbers against Tampa Bay. While the Buccaneers offensive line has put up horrendous numbers sense Demar Dotson and Ali Marpet‘s injuries Cameron Jordan could be in for a big day. Jameis Winston shouldn’t be the only one on edge on Sunday as Jordan is excellent against the run as well. Todd Monken and Dirk Koetter better have a lot of quick throws ready for this game.
