If I had to pick anyone within the Bucs organization to give a New Years resolution, it’d have to be Jason Licht.

Licht has done a fine job on all accounts (outside of one missed pick). However, he has neglected one area of need which has been the same area of need for over ten years; the pass rush.

It is incredible to me how a team can have the same problem for a decade. It is not like Licht has not tried to address the pass rush, he just wasn’t aggressive enough. Licht has drafted defensive end Noah Spence, who has the potential to be very good if he could just stay healthy.

Licht has also signed Robert Ayers and Chris Baker. Neither have really panned out.

What I want Licht to do for his New Years resolution is to be incredibly aggressive in pursuing defensive ends. The Bucs should at the minimum have three new defensive ends on the roster.

Whether it be two through free agency and one through draft or vice versa, the Bucs need bodies on the defensive line.

The Buccaneers also have pressing needs in the secondary and offensive line, but I personally felt that defensive line is what must be addressed first. Hopefully Licht follows through with this New Years resolution.
