Here are the latest updates on all the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ free agent activities.
The day has finally arrived! Free agency kicks off at 4:00 p.m. est and the landscape of the NFL will drastically change. While many of the available players have already agreed to deals with their future teams, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have focuses on taking care of their own first.
The Bucs locked up wide receiver Mike Evans and tight end Cameron Brate through 2023, will see cornerback Brent Grimes for one more season, as well as re-signing Peyton Barber and Adarius Glanton to one year deals.
As for the free agent landscape, there hasn’t been any movement yet, but there are rumors swirling. From running back to offensive line to secondary, the Buccaneers seem to have their feelers out all over and may be getting some bites very soon.
Here are all the latest updates as they pertain to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their free agency haul;

Wide Receiver – Mike Evans – five year extension, $42 million guaranteed
Tight End – Cam Brate – six year deal, $18 million guaranteed
Cornerback – Brent Grimes – one year deal, $7 million guaranteed
Running Back – Peyton Barber – one year deal, $630,000
Linebacker – Adarius Glanton – $790,000 salary, plus $250,000 signing bonus (per Greg Auman)
Wide Receiver – Adam Humphries – (second round tender) one year, $2.9 million
Conerback – Javien Elliott
Safety – Keith Tandy – two year deal, per Greg Auman
Defensive Tackle – Beau Allen – three year deal, $15 million (up to $16.5 million with incentives) per Adam Caplan
Kicker – Chandler Catanzaro – per Mike Garafolo – three year deal, $9.75 million, $3.75 guaranteed
Defensive End – Mitch Unrein – three year deal, $10.5 million, $4 million guaranteed
Defensive End – Will Clarke – no terms disclosed yet
Center – Ryan Jensen – (agreed) four year deal, $42 million dollars, $22 million guaranteed
Defensive End – Vinny Curry – (agreed) three year deal, $27 million dollars with $11.5 million dollar injury guarantee
Buccaneers released Defensive End Robert Ayers, saving $6 million dollars towards the salary cap

- Running Back Jerick McKinnon is beginning to sound more and more likely. The latest coming from Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud who dropped this little late night/early morning nugget;

- The Buccaneers are still in on former Ravens center Ryan Jensen. Although it doesn’t mean much nowadays, Jensen – and his father – have been liking a lot of tweets from fans regarding coming to the Buccaneers. Again, may amount to nothing, but it seems to lead to some mutual interest.
**UPDATE** – Ryan Jensen is visiting the Buccaneers and Colts, per Peter Schrager. Per Adam Schefter, the Buccaneers are the first visit, followed by Indianapolis.
**UPDATE** – Jensen was scheduled to leave Tampa at 2 p.m. est to fly to Indianapolis for his visit with the Colts. No update on if he has yet or not, but it’s safe to assume he has as the 2 p.m. deadline has come and gone with no word of an agreement or signing.
- With Trumaine Johnson (Jets) and Malcolm Butler (Titans) off the market, the competition for E.J. Gaines may be heating up. The Buccaneers were named as a favorite, showing heavy interest, but the Packers, Raiders, and Giants – among others – are in the market for a starting corner.
- The Bucs and Patriots are both bidding for linebacker Trent Murphy
**UPDATE** – Murphy has agreed to a deal with the Buffalo Bills
- Tyrann Mathieu has been released by the Arizona Cardinals. The Buccaneers are expected to have interest
**UPDATE** – Mathieu agrees to one year deal with Houston Texans
- The Buccaneers are showing interest in former Cowboys and Jets cornerback Morris Claiborne. They are reportedly competing with the Jets for his services.Saints
**UPDATE** – Claiborne signs one year deal to remain with Jets
- Jenna Laine reporting that the Bucs have shown “some level” of interest in former Buc and Falcon DE Adrian Clayborn
**UPDATE** – Clayborn agrees to deal with Patriots
- Buccaneers are hosting former Saints defensive end Alex Okafor on Thursday per Pewter Report. If he returns from his Achilles injury, Okafor could provide a huge boost to the pass rush. Okafor also played under new defensive line coach Brentson Buckner in Arizona.
**UPDATE** – Okafor’s visit went well and there is mutual interest, but no deal done yet per Greg Auman
